Cleaning Up The Coast

When it comes to environmental conservation, team members not only talk the talk, but they also walk the walk. Throughout the year, individuals and teams roll up their sleeves and pick up litter to protect the planet and surrounding wildlife.

Behr presented team members with a simple, yet impactful challenge: collect 75 pieces of trash in your neighborhood or community. The activity was part of the Clean Earth Challenge in partnership with the National Wildlife Federation, America’s largest and most trusted conservation organization.

"I’m proud of this team for making a difference."

Team members in the U.S. and Canada were invited to participate in the challenge in their communities to contribute. Paul Turpin, Regional Sales Manager, West brought together a group of eight from his team to head up to Bass Lake, California to collect trash around the Sierra National Forest. “I’m proud of this team for making a difference, he stated. More than 800 pieces of trash were collected by Paul's group and numerous more from other participating team members and throughout the year with local organizations.

Additionally, more than 30 team members volunteered to participate at Orange County Coastkeeper for Kids’ Ocean Day at Huntington State Beach in California. The team assisted over 500 students pick up more than 100 pounds of trash off the coast.

Protecting and beautifying our land and wildlife is just one of the many ways Behr prioritizes our planet.
