Tell us your story of coming to work for BEHR.
Duranda Bennett, Regional Sales Manager, recruited me while I was in Houston, Texas during the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. She played a huge role in my journey joining the Behr family. She is an amazing leader, and I loved being on her team.
Who has been your mentor(s) and influence in your career?
Bonni Yates, Regional Account Manager, has been a mentor for me throughout the past few years. Before getting to know Bonni, it was difficult for me to see myself in an Outside Pro Sales role. She helped me realize how my talents and skills could bring success and inspired me to further my career at Behr.
Other colleagues on Behr’s Sales Team, such as Troy Revis, Sarah Kaselnak, and Gerald Ashmore, have also played a role in my success as well. I would not be where I am now without any of them.
What is the most impactful thing they have taught you?
The most impactful thing I have learned is that they all have my back. Never be afraid to stand up for yourself and for what is right, which is the best policy in my opinion. Another lesson is that hard work and a good attitude do not go unnoticed.
